International European Amateur Championship 2010 4^th-7^th August

Dear players and officials,

Finnish Golf Union has the pleasure and honour to invite you all to the International European Amateur Championship, held in Finland 4th – 7th August, 2010. This prestigious tournament will be played in surroundings which are the very best Finland has to offer; Linna Golf with exquisite manor house hotel and a world class 18-hole championship golf course ranked in the TOP100 of European golf courses and with club facilities offering both superior quality and magnificent views.

Linna Golf is located in the city of Hämeenlinna, appr 100 km north of Helsinki, the capital of Finland. Hämeenlinna region is a very popular golf destination in Finland with three 18-hole courses in the city itself and many others within 30 minutes drive. A visitor is met by warmth, kindness and hospitality leaving unforgettable memories and a desire to return as soon as possible.

Finnish Golf Union is hosting the championship together with Linna Golf. Our professional staff, together with a large number of enthusiastic volunteers, will serve you “24/7” with purpose to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

The championship will be backed up by partners; sponsors and suppliers. We hope that they can find important values for their partnership before, during and after the event. Already at this stage of preparations we want to express our gratitude to all supporting partners. Special thanks go to the Finnish Broadcasting Company, YLE, which will support us with the possibility of a daily TV-coverage during the championship.

Our thanks go also to The European Golf Association for giving us the opportunity to arrange this great championship. We look forward to witnessing a high standard tournament. Among the contestants are future Ryder Cup stars and maybe even an Olympic champion! And the winner gets an invitation to The Open championship 2011.

Note: All local bookings, as accommodation, transports etc. will be handled by our corporate company, Häme Convention Bureau. By entering the “Bookings” – section on the website you will find all necessary information regarding the bookings. This service will be available latest March 15th 2010.
