Cutting 10 strokes off from his first round score helped Norwegian Espen Kofstad lower his score from 75 to 65, which equals the course record of Linna Golf. Happy Norwegian was willingly praising the golf course. "This is a fair golf course, which rewards your good shots. And surely it was much easier to play today.", said Kofstad who had to face the worst of weather during his first round.
Despite his marvelous round Kofstad believes he can still play better during final rounds. "I can play better still. I sank my share of difficult putts, but on the other hand I missed few easier ones I thought I could make."
Like many others playing in European Championships, Kofstad aims at representing his country in the Eisenhower Trophy played in Argentina at the end of October. After that he plans on turning pro and testing his skills in the European Tour Q-school.
